I am a real estate attorney. For the past five years, eminent domain cases have been the primary focus of my practice. Recent eminent domain results include a recovery of over ten times the government’s pre-condemnation offer for impacts to a shopping center, and a recovery of nearly twice the government’s appraisal for the taking of a neighborhood convenience store. Working with Steve Belzer, I have represented a range of public entity clients as well as private parties in cases involving agricultural property, shopping centers, retail businesses, and private homes.
I have been a member of the California Bar for nearly a decade, and in that time I have represented clients in a range of other real estate matters:
I am trained in Alternative Dispute Resolution practices, and I teach Negotiations and Settlement at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. I am a Barrister in the Anthony M. Kennedy American Inn of Court, and I sit on the boards of directors of Legal Services of Northern California and Neighborscapes, Inc. of Chicago.
I graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Distinction from Stanford University and earned my J.D. from Yale Law School.
In September 2009, I married my law school sweetheart. I spend my leisure time traveling with her, riding my bike, reading, and cooking.
